Budakov Films proudly participated in the Third and Final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the Erasmus+ co-funded project FutureForward – Empowering Adult Learners to Use AI for Everyday Life and Work, hosted in Berlin, Germany. The meeting marked a significant milestone in the project’s implementation, bringing together representatives from all consortium partners to review achievements, evaluate pilot activities, and coordinate the final steps towards the successful completion of the initiative.
Representing Budakov Films were Prof. Dr. Petyo Budakov and Dr. Violeta Vasileva, who actively participated in strategic discussions, contributed to the evaluation of the project’s educational results, and helped shape the final phase of implementation.
Strengthening AI Competences for Adult Learners Across EuropeFutureForward is an Erasmus+ project dedicated to empowering adult learners with practical Artificial Intelligence competences that can be applied in everyday life, professional development, and lifelong learning. Through the development of an accessible online learning platform, interactive learning resources, animated use cases and a multilingual MOOC, the project aims to make AI education understandable, inclusive and relevant for adults with diverse backgrounds and digital experience.
The Berlin meeting demonstrated how collaborative European innovation can transform educational ideas into practical learning solutions with measurable impact.
Reviewing the Results of the Second Pilot Testing
One of the central topics of the meeting was the comprehensive review of the second pilot testing conducted by all consortium partners.
Budakov Films successfully organised its national pilot in May 2026 in cooperation with Sofia University, where adult learners tested the FutureForward learning platform and MOOC. Feedback confirmed that participants appreciated the accessibility and overall quality of the course while also recommending the inclusion of more practical examples and real-world AI applications for learners who already possess basic AI knowledge.
Similar feedback from partner organisations across Europe highlighted several common observations:
- strong appreciation for the clear structure and accessibility of the learning materials;
- demand for more interactive learning experiences;
- requests for additional practical exercises;
- suggestions for refining quizzes and improving usability;
- the importance of differentiating learning pathways according to participants’ previous AI experience.
The exchange of national experiences allowed the consortium to identify common priorities that will further improve the quality of the educational resources before the project’s completion.
Planning the Final Improvements
Following an extensive evaluation session, partners jointly agreed on an ambitious improvement plan for the FutureForward platform.
Among the most significant decisions were:
- adding an additional lesson to the MOOC while maintaining its accessible approach;
- developing practical handouts for every learning module;
- creating one practical assignment for each animated AI use case;
- revising quizzes to improve clarity and eliminate minor inconsistencies;
- enriching the overall learning experience with more advanced practical content while preserving accessibility for beginners.
These enhancements will ensure that FutureForward remains a valuable educational resource for adult learners with different levels of AI literacy.
Sustainability Beyond the Project Lifetime
An important part of the meeting focused on ensuring the sustainability of the project’s results.
Partners agreed to continue dissemination activities until the project’s official completion and discussed concrete actions to maximise the long-term visibility and accessibility of FutureForward resources. Each consortium member committed to strengthening the online presence of the project through institutional communication channels and continued stakeholder engagement.
A particularly important strategic decision was the consortium’s agreement to allocate part of the remaining project budget towards the development of a Virtual Assistant that will support learners using the FutureForward educational platform. This innovative addition is expected to significantly increase the long-term usability and sustainability of the project’s learning resources.
Showcasing the Success of Budakov Films’ Multiplier Event
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Petyo Budakov presented the successful implementation of Budakov Films’ Second Multiplier Event, organised only two days before the TPM in partnership with Sofia University.
The event demonstrated the growing interest in practical AI education among adult learners and educational stakeholders in Bulgaria while contributing to the dissemination of FutureForward’s educational results at national level. The consortium exchanged experiences regarding the organisation of multiplier events, with each partner preparing similar activities before the project’s conclusion in September 2026.
Effective European Cooperation
The Berlin TPM once again demonstrated the value of international cooperation in developing high-quality educational innovation.
The meeting gathered representatives from:
- Learnable (Italy) – Project Coordinator
- Berlink ETN GmbH (Germany)
- Universitat de València (Spain)
- Odpovědná společnost, z. s. (Czech Republic)
- Budakov Films (Bulgaria)
Throughout the two-day programme, partners reviewed project management, dissemination activities, quality assurance, sustainability planning, monitoring procedures and administrative preparations required for the successful submission of the project’s final report.
Looking Ahead
As the FutureForward project enters its final implementation stage, Budakov Films remains fully committed to delivering high-quality educational resources that make Artificial Intelligence understandable, practical and accessible for adult learners across Europe.
The final months of the project will focus on completing the enhanced MOOC content, practical assignments, multilingual translations, dissemination activities and stakeholder engagement before the official project conclusion.
The successful Berlin meeting demonstrated not only the excellent collaboration between European partners but also the consortium’s shared commitment to creating educational resources with lasting value beyond the lifetime of the Erasmus+ project.
Budakov Films is proud to contribute its expertise in digital education, instructional design and AI-based learning innovation to initiatives that strengthen digital competences and promote lifelong learning throughout Europe.
