The CREATIVEinGREEN partnership met on September 8th to review two major milestones that move our Erasmus+ co-funded project from planning into practice: the first delivery of Training Course 2: Empowering Creative Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age (WP2.5) and the release of the first modules on our Moodle-based learning platform (WP3.1). Below is a deep dive into what we have built, what we learned from the first delivery, and how the new platform will support educators and learners in the next iterations.
Why a Course on Creative Entrepreneurship – Now?
Creative sectors are transforming fast. Digital distribution, AI-enabled production, platform economies and sustainability standards are reshaping how creative businesses are started, financed and grown. Micro-studios and independent creators face the same strategic questions as larger companies but with far fewer resources. Our goal in WP2.5 is to deliver a practical, modular course that helps learners turn ideas into viable, resilient ventures – grounded in real tools, current regulations and sustainable practice.
- An AI Policy Specialist with extensive knowledge of European AI governance and compliance with the EU AI Act.
- A Vocational Training Coordinator specializing in AI-enhanced training for technical professions.
- An Adult Education Curriculum Designer experienced in integrating AI literacy into lifelong learning programs.
- An Educational Technology Researcher focusing on AI-assisted assessment methods and adaptive learning environments.
- A Continuing Education Program Director responsible for professional development courses incorporating AI applications.
WP2.5: Training Course 2 – First Delivery Highlights
Audience fit
The first pilot delivery targeted early-stage founders, freelancers and creative professionals seeking to formalise business models or diversify revenue. Pre-course diagnostics captured participants’ digital confidence, monetisation experience and sustainability priorities. Post-course evaluations confirm that the curriculum meets the needs of this audience: participants valued the pragmatic templates, case-based activities and the step-by-step focus on digital channels.
Methods that worked
- Case-led learning. Real scenarios from partner organisations made abstract concepts concrete.
- Job-aids over theory. Templates, checklists and calculators were the most reused assets after sessions.
- Peer critique. Structured feedback sessions improved clarity and confidence in pitching.
- Inclusive design. Transcripts, alternative text and downloadable briefs supported different learning preferences.
What we will improve next
Partner feedback and participant surveys highlighted several enhancements for the next iteration:
- More micro-examples for niche creative fields such as immersive media and eco-design.
- Deeper pricing practice, including live role-plays with negotiation scenarios.
- Funding navigation guides tailored to national contexts, with links to current calls.
- Optional AI clinic on safe and ethical use of generative tools for prototyping, copy and imagery.
- Additional time for capstone reviews, with model dossiers for reference.
All recommendations will be incorporated into an updated facilitator guide and learner pack before the next pilot.
WP3.1: Moodle Platform – First Modules Released
Alongside the course delivery, the partnership released the first set of Moodle modules that will host CREATIVEinGREEN learning content. The platform is designed to be simple to navigate, robust for mixed cohorts and supportive of busy educators who need to track progress without friction.
Design principles
- Clarity first. A consistent layout with shallow navigation, clear labels and predictable actions.
- Low cognitive load. Each page contains a single purpose—watch, read, complete, submit or reflect.
- Learning by doing. Every module ends with a small, production-oriented task that feeds the capstone.
- Evidence and analytics. Educators can review activity at a glance and intervene early when learners stall.
- Accessibility. WCAG-aligned colour contrast, keyboard navigation and transcript availability as standard.
Key features now live
- Intuitive navigation. A left-hand course map, breadcrumb trail and module progress indicators reduce disorientation.
- Interactive activities. H5P assets for scenario branching, hotspots and drag-and-drop exercises; embedded quizzes with immediate feedback.
- Easy progress tracking. Completion rules per activity, instructor dashboards and downloadable gradebooks.
- Template library. Built-in repositories for canvases, checklists and calculators used in Training Course 2.
- Resource hub. Curated readings, case studies and tool guides, tagged by skill and difficulty.
- Multilingual readiness. Navigation, instructions and key assets prepared for translation workflows.
What is next on the platform roadmap
- Single sign-on options for partner institutions and cohort-based enrolment keys.
- Serious game integration from WP3.2 with scoring synced to Moodle’s gradebook.
- Portfolio export so learners can package their capstone dossier for clients or funding applications.
- Peer-assessment rubrics to scale feedback while preserving quality.
- Mobile-first refinements for small-screen learners.
Conclusion
With the first delivery of Training Course 2 complete and the Moodle platform live with initial modules, CREATIVEinGREEN has moved from design to tangible learning experiences that support creative entrepreneurs in building sustainable, digitally enabled businesses. Partner feedback is already shaping the next release so that the course remains practical, current and accessible. We look forward to broadening participation, deepening the resource library and integrating the serious game to create a coherent, engaging pathway from idea to implementation.
