On 5 February 2026, Budakov Films participated in an external collateral dissemination event titled Innovative Didactic Practices for Learner Engagement in Contemporary Education, hosted by the Faculty of Pedagogy at Sofia University. The event provided an academic setting for dialogue on contemporary teaching methodologies and offered an opportunity to present the results of the Co.De. Project (Co-Design Learning for Early School Leaving Prevention), co-funded by the Erasmus+.

Engaging Future Educators with Innovative Didactics

The event gathered 18 participants, including students in pedagogy and academic staff, all actively engaged in discussions on learner-centred, inclusive, and participatory approaches to education. As future educators, the students represented a key target group for the long-term sustainability and transferability of innovative teaching practices promoted by the Co.De. project.

Moderated by Dr. Yordan Karapenchev, the session focused on current challenges in education—such as student engagement, motivation, and inclusion—and explored how innovative didactic approaches can respond to these challenges in both secondary and higher education contexts.

Presenting the Co.De. Project Results

During the event, Budakov Films presented the overall objectives and methodology of the Co.De. project (Project No. 2023-1-ES01-KA220-SCH-000154536), with particular emphasis on its co-design approach to learning. The presentation highlighted how involving learners in the design of educational pathways can contribute to reducing early school leaving and improving engagement in the classroom.

Participants were introduced to the tangible results developed throughout the project Work Packages, including:

  • the Co-Design Competence Model for teachers,
  • digital tools and e-learning resources supporting participatory teaching practices, and
  • micro-learning opportunities designed to help educators integrate co-design principles into everyday classroom activities.

Practical examples and use cases were shared to demonstrate how these tools and methodologies can be applied in real teaching scenarios, encouraging participants to reflect on how such approaches could be integrated into teacher education programmes and future classroom practice.

Dissemination within a Broader Educational Framework

As a collateral dissemination event, the initiative was embedded within Sofia University’s broader academic and innovation-focused activities rather than organised as a stand-alone project event. This format strengthened synergies with other educational initiatives and allowed the Co.De. project to reach its target groups in a natural, relevant context.

Through structured presentations, open discussion, and direct engagement with students and faculty, the event effectively raised awareness of the Co.De. project’s aims, results, and potential impact beyond the project partnership.

Outcomes and Future Perspectives

The event contributed to increased awareness among future teachers and academic staff of co-design as a powerful didactic strategy. It also opened pathways for potential future collaboration, including the integration of co-design concepts and Co.De. resources into teacher education modules, seminars, and school practice activities.

By presenting the Co.De. project results in an academic setting focused on pedagogy and innovation, Budakov Films reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational transformation and ensuring that EU-funded project outcomes continue to create value beyond the project’s lifetime.
